In this episode of the Fly-Bottle podcast, Soroush Marouzi talks to Sahar Heidari Fard about strategic injustice and how complexity theory can give us an explanation of how certain types of racial and gender inequality persist despite everyone knowing the immorality of the situation. They also talk about Sahar’s journey from studying physics to philosophy and philosophy of social sciences. At the end, Sahar briefly talks about her current project on the social dynamics of polarization.


Sahar Heydari Fard has a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Cincinnati. She is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at The Ohio State University.


Soroush Marouzi is a graduate of a doctoral degree at the Institute for the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology of the University of Toronto. Currently, he is a research fellow at the Center for the History of Political Economy at Duke University.
